The Parades Commission has granted the Apprentice Boys permission to March through the Ardoyne next Saturday.

In a statement, the commission described as 'appalling' the nature of the Orange parades which passed the Ardoyne shop fronts on the 12th of July.

However, the Parades Commission says that it distinguishes between the different parading organisations and has recognised that the Apprentice Boys have no history of 'uncivil, provocative or violent behaviour.'
