Body of Rathlin islander found off Antrim coast

A man whose body was recovered from the sea off the Co Antrim coast had lived on Rathlin Island.

Johnny Curry - who was on his 60s - was sailing to Ballycastle on the mainland when he got into difficulty.

The Rathlin ferry crew raised the alarm when they spotted his empty rib-type boat drifting in the water.

Paddy McLaughlin from Red Bay Lifeboat, who took part in an air and sea search, described Mr Curry as "a gentleman".
