Two men are due in court later in connection with a drug seizure in Co Laois earlier this week.

Two men are due in court later in connection with a drug seizure in Co Laois earlier this week.

Cannabis plants worth an estimated €400,000 were recovered during a search at a house in the Rathmiles area of Portarlington late on Wednesday night.

Two men, aged 54 and 34, were arrested and questioned at Portlaoise garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

They are due to appear at Nenagh District Court today.
