Gardaí are hunting those behind the theft of two engines from a volunteer group's rescue boat in County Clare.

Gardaí are hunting those behind the theft of two engines from a volunteer group's rescue boat in County Clare.

The Killaloe/Ballina Search and Recovery unit discovered the equipment was missing on Wednesday night.

The engines from a specialist dive boat are worth €15,000 each.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Gardaí in Killaloe.
