A 68-year-old man has died after he was struck by a car in an overnight accident in Co Limerick.

A 68-year-old man has died after he was struck by a car in an overnight accident in Co Limerick.

The accident happened at Kilmallock at about 8pm.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released but it is understood that he was from the locality.
