Gardaí in Co Cork are continuing to search for an 11-year-old girl who went missing in the Beal na Bláth area on Friday night.

Catherine O’Driscoll, a member of the Travelling community, is believed to have hitched a lift from the area, where her family has lived for three years.

Up to 50 local farmers and members of the O’Driscoll family assisted gardaí in a fruitless search for the youngster over the weekend.
