Today is Survivors of Suicide Day, which is being marked in Ireland and in many countries around the world.

The organisation 'Suicide or Survive' says suicide rates are on the increase in many developed countries, including in Ireland.

It is marking the day by drawing attention to the guidelines that are available for people who are concerned about a loved one.

A number of workshops are being held in Dublin, Leitrim, Wexford and Louth over the next few weeks.
