HSE to decide whether to lift recruitment ban this week
The Health Service Executive will decide next week if it will continue its ban on recruitment in the health service.
Talks between unions and the HSE on the controversial measure broke down without agreement yesterday.
The freeze was introduced at the beginning of this month due to budget constraints.
Both sides are to meet again on Monday, but Liam Doran of the Irish Nurses Organisation has said alternatives must be found.
