Removal of footballer killed during match to take place in Navan

The removal takes place later today of a young footballer, who died during a match in County Meath on Wednesday last.

The removal takes place later today of a young footballer, who died during a match in County Meath on Wednesday last.

The deceased, 22-year-old Paul Quinn, died on Friday morning from injuries sustained after his head collided with the knee of another player.

His remains will be removed to St Oliver's Church in Navan at 6.15pm this evening.

Funeral mass takes place tomorrow morning at 11am.
