Eighth arrest in Limerick double murder probe

Gardaí investigating a double murder in Limerick last weekend have arrested an eighth person today.

A fourth woman is now being questioned over the fatal gun attack on 24-year-old Dessie Kelly and his 28-year-old partner Breda Waters on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, gardaí have received an additional 24 hours to examine a house in O'Malley Park in Limerick as part of the double murder probe.

The house has been designated a second scene by gardaí, in addition to the house where the couple were found shot dead two days ago.

At Limerick District Court Gardai were also granted a further 24 hours to question seven people arrested yesterday as part of the double murder hunt.
