The case of convicted murderer Catherine Nevin is before the Court of Criminal Appeal this morning.

A date for Mrs Nevin's appeal is due to be set today after a number of adjournments due to a legal row over her entitlement to State aid.

However, her legal team has indicated her determination to press ahead with the appeal regardless of whether the aid is granted.

The matter is to be decided by the High Court.
