Noel Meade has no firm plans for Aran Concerto after he was pulled up in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown.
The highly-regarded gelding landed the Powers Gold Cup last season, but fell in the John Durkan on his comeback and was pulled up sharply by Davy Condon after a bad mistake on Tuesday.
“Aran Concerto made a very bad mistake at the ditch, he just launched himself at it and I warned Davy that I didn’t want him to fall again so rather than take a chance he pulled him up,” said Meade.
“He’s OK, but he is a bit stiff again so we’ll just have to see how we go with him.
“I had entered him in a hurdle race but then I thought we wouldn’t learn much doing that so I went the other way.”
