Maskey seeks agreement on Belfast changes

Belfast Lord Mayor Alec Maskey has said he will be seeking the agreement of both nationalists and unionists on symbolic changes in City Hall.

Belfast Lord Mayor Alec Maskey has said he will be seeking the agreement of both nationalists and unionists on symbolic changes in City Hall.

In his first policy statement, Mr Maskey hinted that he might attend a commemoration next Monday for the Battle of the Somme.

He also said that he hopes the DUP will not protest over his intention to fly the tricolour in his private office.
