Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 22-year-old man following the seizure of nearly €500,000 worth of drugs in the Ballyfermot area last night.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 22-year-old man following the seizure of nearly €500,000 worth of drugs in the Ballyfermot area last night.

The man was detained following a raid on a house in the Cleggan Park area as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

One kilogram of heroin was found during the raid along with 2.5 kilos of cocaine and 14 ounces of crack cocaine.

Drug distribution paraphernalia was also recovered.

The man arrested in connection with the haul is being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
