Disability must stay on agenda, say campaigners

Disabilities campaigners have launched a new campaign to raise awareness about disability among Irish people.

Disabilities campaigners have launched a new campaign to raise awareness about disability among Irish people.

The campaign is designed to ensure that issues of importance to disabled people remain on the public agenda after the European Year for People with Disabilities ends on March 31.

Angela Kerins, the chairperson of the National Disability Authority, said everybody should take an active role in making Ireland a better place for disabled people.
