The Irish Haemophilia Society is reportedly furious at the Government’s failure to honour commitments made in the wake of the Lindsay Tribunal.

Reports this morning said the society was due to express its concerns at a meeting with Health Minister Micheál Martin today.

The reports said the HIS was unhappy with Mr Martin’s failure to establish a National Haemophilia Council on a statutory basis and a nine-month delay in his department's response to a request from the DPP for assistance relating to a potential criminal investigation into the contaminated blood products scandal.
