Celtic manager Martin O’Neill made three changes to his team as the Hoops looked to stride eight points clear at the top of the Bank of Scotland Premier League with victory over Hibernian.

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill made three changes to his team as the Hoops looked to stride eight points clear at the top of the Bank of Scotland Premier League with victory over Hibernian.

After the 2-1 win at Rangers last week, injured trio Craig Bellamy, Chris Sutton and Didier Agathe were forced to drop out and the Celtic Park boss drafted in Shaun Maloney, Aiden McGeady and Joos Valgaeren.

Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray made one change to the side which drew with Hearts last weekend with captain Ian Murray returning from suspension at the expense of Dean Shiels.

Celtic: Marshall, McNamara, Balde, Varga, Valgaeren, Petrov, Lennon, Thompson, McGeady, Hartson, Maloney. Subs: Douglas, Henchoz, Sylla, Lambert, Laursen, Wallace, Beattie.

Hibernian: Simon Brown, Scott Brown, Caldwell, Konte, Glass, Antonio Murray, Ian Murray, Smith, Whittaker, Riordan, O’Connor. Subs: Alistair Brown, Hogg, McDonald, Morrow, Murphy, Shiels, Sproule.

Referee: K Clark (Scotland)
