Dutch police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old Co Kilkenny man in Amsterdam over the weekend.
Damien Mooney, from Cloneen in Clogh, was attacked by two men while walking home after a night out with workmates on Sunday morning.
Reports this morning suggested the men may have been trying to steal his watch.
Mr Mooney had been working in an Irish pub in Amsterdam for the last six months.
The Irish Embassy in the Dutch capital is helping his family with arrangements to bring his body home.
