Five police officers have been hurt after their vehicle overturned in Co Londonderry.

Five police officers have been hurt after their vehicle overturned in Co Londonderry.

The crash happened on the Glenshane Road near Claudy.

No other vehicles were involved.

The extent of the officers' injuries is not yet known but none are believed to be life-threatening, according to a spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

All five have been taken to hospital.

It is understood the road is blocked by the overturned vehicle.

Diversions have been put in place on the Glenshane Road between Baranailt crossroads and the Ballyhanedin Road and motorists have been warned to expect lengthy delays.
