tomorrow’s Formula 3 International Challenge taking place prior to the Foster’s British Grand prix

at Silverstone.

The young Clonakilty ace, currently fourth in the British F3 Championship, made a strong improvement on his test day times to claim his place on the fourth row.

Brazil's Fabio Carbone, racing wit the Fortec team, dominated the session - he was almost nine tenths ahead of his team mate, Heikki Kovalainen of Finland.

However, it’s all a very close affair after Kovalainen with 0.341 of a second between six drivers including Keohane.

Northern Ireland’s Mathew Gilmore qualified 20th overall and Derek Hayes is 24th.

Robert Dahlgren heads the Scholarship Class, two-tenths clear of his Sweeney Racing team-mate Adam Carroll from Portadown.
