Martin: 'Reform of health service is frustratingly slow'

The Minister for Health has admitted Accident and Emergency departments are in an entirely unacceptable state.

The Minister for Health has admitted Accident and Emergency departments are in an entirely unacceptable state.

In an interview with Star Sunday, Micheál Martin said reform of the health service was a frustratingly slow process but that progress had been made.

He said money had been thrown at problems with no effect because there are huge inefficiencies in health management.
