Simon Davies is set to make his Tottenham comeback this Sunday against Norwich after shin surgery six weeks ago.
And the Wales star, who now has the opportunity to play against England in next month’s World Cup qualifier, aims to reward the club and the Spurs fans for their loyalty him.
Davies, who has played only a handful of games in the last year, told Tottenham’s official website, www.spursfc.co.uk: “Thay have stood by me. It has been a difficult year but I have a new long-term contract and want to repay that faith.
“The fans have also been brilliant – and very patient.
“Once I get back in the team I can move on with my career. Touch wood, I am now training pain-free for the first time for a long time. And if I can get involved with Wales’ game against England it will just be a bonus.”
