Anti-poverty group to unveil tax proposals

An anti-poverty group will unveil radical tax reform proposals in Dublin later today.

The Community Platform Group is made up of 29 organisations campaigning against poverty and inequality.

The group has a four-point plan which it says will save the Government the desired €3bn on budget day.

"Our progressive tax reform proposals will stimulate economic recovery…The Government's focus on cuts will do the direct opposite," said spokesperson Anne Costello.
