A man has been arrested following a significant drugs seizure in west Dublin.

A man has been arrested following a significant drugs seizure in west Dublin.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs officers from the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit searched a house in the Cherryorchard area this morning.

During the search Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of over €500,000 was seized.

The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and is being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station where he can be detained for up to seven days.
