Two men have died following overnight accidents.

Two men have died following overnight accidents.

A male pedestrian in his 50s died when he was hit by a car at Oola, in Co Limerick, shortly after 8pm.

Meanwhile, a Galway a man in his 20s was killed when he was knocked down by a car while walking on the Dyke Road, in Galway City.

These latest accidents bring the number of people killed on the roads so far this year to 82, compared to 76 for the same period last year.
