Football legend John Giles has been announced as the Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick's Day parade in Dublin.

Football legend John Giles has been announced as the Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick's Day parade in Dublin.

The announcement comes on the day Ireland play the Czech Republic as part of their preparation for this summer’s European Championships.

The former Manchester and Leeds United star follows in the footsteps of other sporting greats including Katie Taylor, Packie Bonner and legendary GAA commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
