An exhibition of artworks highlighting the importance and beauty of the Hill of Tara was launched in Dublin today.

Artists for Tara is group of approximately 100 artists, including Liam Belton, Melanie le Brocquy, Cliodna Cussen, Anna Duncan, Jim Fitzpatrick, Trevor Geoghegan, John Jobson, Brian Maguire, Anita Shelbourne and Imogen Stuart.

The Exhibition will be open to the public from March 11 to March 13 at Essex St West in Temple Bar, Dublin.

Winning entries from a related national student art competition will also be exhibited.

It is hoped the exhibition will raise support for the re-routing of the M3 away from the Hills of Tara and Skryne.

50% of the sale price will go to the Save Tara Skryne Valley Campaign, with many artists donating the entire proceeds.
