Keith Duffy and Johnny Giles today announced a Keith Duffy Allstar team will take on the might of the Johnny Giles Legends on Sunday April 10 at Tolka Park in this year’s O2 Challenge in aid of Childline.

Football legends, both Irish and English, have made themselves available for selection for Johnny’s team including John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, Peter Lorimer, Chris Waddle and Eddie Gray.

As last year, the streets of Coronation Street will be empty on Sunday April 10 with many of the cast coming over to Dublin to play in this charity match.

This is the fifth year that this event has taken place and over €250,000 has been raised for Childline by this particular fundraiser with everyone donating their time and expertise free of charge.

Keith said today “ This day is always a great family day out. I think we have proved over the years…that we are most definitely NOT the best footballers in the world but it is a bit of fun and all proceeds benefit a very worthy charity – Childline”

Tickets are priced at €15.00 are on sale from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide or at Ticketmaster online.
