Wettest November for east since 2009

November was the wettest since 2009 for the east of the country, with rain most days everywhere until the middle of the month.

Last November was the wettest one since 2009 for the east of the country, according to the latest report from Met Éireann.

The service also reported that there was rain on most days across the country until the middle of the month.

Met Éireann says most weather stations recorded slightly above average temperatures last month, however.

Dublin Airport recorded a temperature of 15.4 degrees on November 6, the highest in the country.

The amount of sunshine was above average too - Cork Airport had the sunniest day on November 23, with just less than eight hours of sun.
