The organisers of a loyalist band parade in Coleraine next month have decided to voluntarily re-route the march to avoid causing tension.
The parade in eight days' time was due to pass the spot where Catholic community worker Kevin McDaid was beaten to death by a loyalist mob in May.
However, members of the UVF Memorial Regimental Band Association have agreed to amend the route to avoid potential trouble
Community relations in Coleraine have deteriorated since Mr McDaid's murder and there have been sporadic outbreaks of sectarian violence in the town.
