Man in court after woman's murder
A man in his late twenties will appear before Swords District Court in Dublin this morning, charged in connection with the murder of a woman in Balbriggan last month.
Mary Whelan was found dead at the foot of the stairs in her home at 12.15 on the morning of March 1.
The man was arrested yesterday at 8.30am and was held at Balbriggan Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
