Halle Berry has called police twice after spotting intruders on her property this weekend.

Three cop cars and a helicopter were dispatched to the 'Monster's Ball' actress's home in Los Angeles, last night, but by the time they arrived the intruder had disappeared.

This was the second incident at Halle's property over the weekend, as on Saturday emergency services were called after an unknown person climbed over the wall and was spotted on her front lawn. Halle's security team and others ran outside, but the intruder scaled back over the wall and disappeared.

It is not known if Halle's three-year-old daughter Nahla - with her ex-partner, Gabriel Aubry - was in the house at the time.

Initial reports suggested it could have been a paparazzi photographer trying to get a picture of the star.

But a source told E! News: "There is absolutely no way it was a paparazzi.

"The crew that works Halle are professional photographers. Halle, Gabriel and her current boyfriend Olivier Martinez all know those guys.

"They wouldn't do anything stupid like hop over the fence. If one of the paps hopped the fence, you'd be sure another pap would have shot him doing that, because they're so competitive."

Halle is not the only celebrity to have had trouble with trespassers recently, as a man was arrested outside Paris Hilton's Malibu home last week for violating a restraining order forbidding him to be within 200 yards of her.

James Rainford was found breaking his court order when he was spotted on a beach in California looking into her home. He was arrested and held in custody on $20,000 bail but has pleaded not guilty to breaking the order against him.
