A British embassy convoy was attacked in the east Libyan city of Benghazi today.

A British embassy convoy was attacked in the east Libyan city of Benghazi today.

The Foreign Office said all staff were accounted for after the incident.

A spokesman said: “We can confirm that there was an attack on a British embassy convoy in Benghazi this afternoon. All staff are accounted for.

“We are liaising closely with the Libyan authorities.”
