The Budget might be a cold shock to some people today, but so is the weather!

Met Éireann says temperatures will not rise above 10C today in many places, with cold and blustery conditions.

There will also be showers, heaviest and most frequent across the west. Some of these will be wintry, including hail, sleet and snow.

There will also be some falls of snow in parts of the north and on higher ground further south.

Tonight, it will be another cold one with a mix of rain, hail, sleet and snow. The snow will mainly affect northern parts.

Lowest temperatures tonight will see just 0C to 3C in places, coldest in the east and north.
