The Irish anti-war movement has held a day of action in the capital, calling for an end to the airstrikes on the country.

Hundreds of people also gathered at Shannon Airport to protest at its use as a refuelling facility for US jets on their way to Afghanistan. The group feels it is making a mockery of Ireland’s neutrality.
