Gardai in Cork are appealing for witnesses as they continue their investigations into the suspicious death of a man on the city's northside.

Gardai in Cork are appealing for witnesses as they continue their investigations into the suspicious death of a man on the city's northside.

The man, who was in his fifties, was found lying face down in a pool of blood by his landlord at around 12.30am this morning.

He had been living in the house in Blackpool for around six months.

Neighbours said there was always noise coming from the house and much boisterous activity.
