Kerry 1-11 Limerick 0-9

Favourites Kerry regained the Munster Senior Football crown with a competent display against a young Limerick side at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.

Limerick were left to rue a tenth-minute penalty miss by Micheal Reidy when Dara Ó Cinneide scored a fine Kerry goal on 34 minutes.

Kerry led 1-6 to 0-3 at half-time, and were starting to take control of the game.

The winners stretched clear after the break, with centre half forward Ó Cinneide in fine form from placed balls.

The home side had the game wrapped up by the mid-point of the second half, with Liam Hassett also outstanding.

Limerick had the further heartbreak of missing a second penalty later, when Muiris Gavin’s kick crashed off the crossbar before being cleared.
