The Limerick county board is due to meet on Tuesday night to discuss who will take charge of county's senior hurlers for next season.
The outgoing management team of Joe McKenna, and his selectors Liam Lenihan and Ger Cunningham, who doubles as a coach, could well opt to stay on after guiding the Shannonsiders to this season's All-Ireland quarter-finals, before falling to Kilkenny.
South Liberties clubman McKenna took over from Pad Joe Whelehan in March, and lead the Treaty side to four wins and four losses in the league.
An announcement is expected on the management team in September, at the latest.
The Limerick county board will also confirm the successor to football boss Liam Kearns in the autumn.
