Manchester City have sold Lucien Mettomo to German side Kaiserslautern for a fee believed to be almost £500,000 (€723,000).

City paid St Etienne £1.5m (€2.17m) for the Cameroon defender in September 2001 but he has struggled to cement a regular first-team place, making just 20 league starts in his time at the club.

Mettomo was introduced to Kaiserslautern’s fans today at their Stadion-Fest home after agreeing to join the Bundesliga club.
