Ahern and Harney to meet ICTU to discuss Book of Estimates cuts

The Taoiseach and the Tanaiste are meeting with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions this morning to discuss the cuts in the Book of Estimates.

The Taoiseach and the Tanaiste are meeting with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions this morning to discuss the cuts in the Book of Estimates.

Congress says it is seeking assurances from the Government that the cuts will not affect the renegotiations of the new national wage agreement.

ICTU President, Joe O’Toole, says they are seeking clarification on a number of measures on some of the issues raised by the estimates.
