11 kilos of cocaine has been seized at Dublin Port.

The drugs, with an estimated street value in excess of €770,000, were found as part of an intelligence led joint operation between the Revenue Customs Service and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau of the Gardaí.

The cocaine was found on a truck which had arrived from the Netherlands.

A 51-year-old man was arrested and is being detained at Store Street Garda station in central Dublin.
