Five charged with attempted murder over Down attack

Police in the North have charged five people with attempted murder and robbery following an attack on two men in Co Down earlier this week.

The victims were walking along Kilbroney Road in Rostrevor in the early hours of Tuesday morning when they were attacked by gang.

They were hospitalised with head injuries and are said to be in a stable condition.

Four men aged between 18 and 20 and a 16-year-old girl are due to appear in court in Newry today in connection with the incident.
