Shaka Hislop will leave West Ham when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The West Ham goalkeeper has not played since the 4-4 draw with Charlton in mid-November.

David James has established himself as the club's number one, leaving Hislop to languish in the reserves.

The former Reading and Newcastle player said: "I still feel I'm worth more than reserve-team football. I'm leaving because it's the only way I can get my career back on track.

"I'm not prepared to sit around and do nothing, which is why I rejected a new deal in the first place."
