Aer Lingus flights face disruption as unions consider industrial action

There could be disruption to Aer Lingus flights this summer as workers at the Hangar in Shannon Airport consider industrial action.

It comes after the airline announced plans to sell the facility and move all 55 staff based there to Dublin Airport.

Union officials are still in talks with the airline, but many workers believe the move is inevitable and say they will face redundancy if they are not willing to move to Dublin with their families.

The workers involved and union officials will hold a meeting in Shannon later on the next course of action to take.
