A court case which could have major implications for Ireland's bailout package is underway in Germany.
The country's constitutional court is hearing a challenge brought by six eurosceptics against Germany's contribution to the bailouts for Ireland, Greece and Portugal.
The country's Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has attended the court today, but says he is certain the aid payments do not contravene either German or EU law.
It is widely believed the court will not block the German government from reneging on its current commitments. However it could impose restrictions on future aid packages.
