Tickets for Ireland’s upcoming friendly international fixtures against Brazil, Czech Republic and Romania are now sold out.

Tickets for Ireland’s upcoming friendly international fixtures against Brazil, Czech Republic and Romania are sold out.

Almost 9,000 terrace tickets went on sale this morning through Ticketmaster outlets and were sold out in less than 15 minutes.

FAI CEO Fran Rooney said: “The reaction of the public to the three match programme for €60 was extraordinary.

“The FAI is delighted to bring this schedule of fixtures to Ireland and it shows the massive level of interest the Irish public has for top quality sports fixtures.

“It’s the first time we’ve marketed the games in a packaged way and we’d like to thank all the fans for supporting this approach."

Commenting on the prospect of playing such games in a new stadium he said “apart from better standards for spectators, the extra capacity of a new stadium would have enabled us to alleviate the disappointment of another 6,000 fans with tickets”.
