Agreement has been reached between taxi drivers and DAA officials at mediated talks this morning.

Taxi drivers at Dublin airport have been on strike since Wednesday over a number of car parking spaces.

All taxi unions are going to recommend to their members that they accept the recommendations of the mediator and a vote is expected by drivers this morning.

John Usher from the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation said he thinks drivers should accept it.

Mr Usher said: "The meeting went on from five o'clock yesterday until 6.30 this morning, and we have arrived back at Dublin Airport to address the drivers.

"We will put a proposal to them and we would be recommending accepting the proposal."
