A secondary school teacher representing Luxembourg has been named the 2012 Rose of Tralee.

A secondary school teacher representing Luxembourg has been named the 2012 Rose of Tralee.

Nicola McEvoy claimed the title of the 54th Rose of Tralee in front of a packed Dome in Tralee.

The 26 year old - originally from near Blarney in Co Cork - has been teaching at the European School of Luxembourg for almost two years.

Nicola sang 'La Vie en Rose' during her interview with host Daithi O Sé during the first of the televised live shows.
