Cocaine worth €500,000 seized in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of more than half a million euro.

The drugs were uncovered following a number of searches on Grove Lane in Coolock.

Eight kilos of the drug was found. Subject to analysis, it could be worth up to €560,000.

A quantity of cash and a small amount of assorted ammunition were also recovered.

“The searches were carried by local gardaí and detectives assisted by divisional search teams,” said Sgt Jim Molloy.

“There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”

In a separate raid in Limerick, 43 bars of cannabis resin worth around €75,000 were recovered.
