The Central Statistics Office has reported low economic growth rates for the first quarter of 2003.
The CSO estimated today that Gross National Product increased by 0.8% during the first three months of the year and Gross Domestic Product by 0.5% compared to same period in 2002.
It also said consumer spending increased by 1.8%, capital spending decreased by 12.4%, net exports decreased in value by 0.08% and the volume of industrial output increased by 1%.
